Parliament beauty delivers a bouncing baby boy
Nyeri County Women Representative Priscilla Nyokabi is a new mother, 17 years after giving birth to her last child.
The 37 year-old took to social media to announce the arrival of Baby Kiiru whom she said she had named after her father in-law.
“Mum and baby are recovering well…It’s a whole new experience all over again, happy happy and Thanking God over and over,” she wrote on Facebook.
The legislator added that both her and her husband’s extended families were delighted at the news.
Ms Nyokabi’s first born daughter, Val, is 17 years and currently a form four student.
Congratulatory messages filled the her Facebook page, with some jokingly telling her Murang’a counterpart Sabina Chege to reward her colleague for the good job. Ms Chege had last month dished out sh1,000 to new mothers at a function.
Ms Nyokabi’s political career has been marred with controversies that range from her utterances about Nyeri governor Nderitu Gachagua’s health, to claims that she was elected because of her stunning looks.
The Law degree graduate of the University of Nairobi was the Executive Director of Kituo cha Sheria before she was elected in office in 2013.
She is currently the vice chair of Parliament’s Justice and Legal Affairs Committee.
