Pastor Ng’ang’a involved in yet another road accident
Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism is back in the news in yet another case of a road accident.
Police reports indicate that the city televangelist was on Saturday evening involved in a road accident at Gitaru area along the the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway.
According to Kiambu county police commander, James Mugera, who spoke to Nairobi News on phone, the accident involved Pastor Ng’ang’a’s BMW X6 and a matatu.
Both vehicles are said to have been travelling towards Nairobi when the accident occured.
“Because none of the occupants of the two vehicles was injured, the two motorists agreed among themselves to settle the damages,” Mr Mugera said.
FATAL ACCIDENT
The incident comes just four months after the church minister was involved in an accident along the Nairobi-Nakuru road that claimed the life of one person.
Ms Mercy Njeri, who was in the company of her husband Martin Mbugua, died in the July 27 incident when their vehicle collided head-on with a Ranger Rover Sport which multiple witnesses at the scene claimed was being driven by Pastor Ng’ang’a.
After what appeared to be attempts by the authorities to cover up Pastor Ng’ang’a, he was eventually arrested several weeks later and charged in court for causing death by dangerous driving, giving false information and failing to report an accident.
The case is ongoing and the pastor is currently out on bond.
