Police gun down robber in Woodley
Police on Wednesday night shot dead a robber who had fired at them during a patrol in Woodley.
The patrol team encountered three gunmen who defied orders to stand down.
The three robbers fired at the police leading to an exchange of fire in which one robber was killed.
A pistol loaded with 9 rounds of 9mm ammunition was recovered from the deceased as the other two robbers escaped.
The body of the deceased was taken to City Mortuary.
