WANTED: Police impostor on the run after jumping bail

A man who was arrested in July in possession of a deadly arsenal and several fake identification cards from government agencies is on the run after jumping bail.

Apparently, Moses Muigai Ngugi, who was charged with the offence of impersonation, failed to appear in court on Thursday as ordered.

Police have now appealed to members of the public to divulge any information of his whereabouts and report to the nearest police station. His Warrant of Arrest is already out.


Impostor arrested in Nairobi with fake national intelligence agency IDs and deadly arsenal

Mr Muigai was arrested in Lavington in July after he met a businessman Francis Mburu whom he had promised to help dealing with the Ruaraka land saga.


According to the police,  Mr Muigai had been masquerading as a National Intelligence Service (NIS), Kebs, EACC, ODPP and immigration official on different occasions in Nairobi.

After the arrest, the suspect led detectives to his house in Syokimau were the IDs were found together with two guns and over 700 bullets were recovered.
