Police kill suspected kidnapper as accomplices escape
Police on Tuesday morning shot and killed a man they say was in a group of four who kidnapped a family and held them hostage in Thika.
According to the police, the four suspected kidnappers fired at the police who managed to shot and kill one of them as his three accomplices fled.

However, police reports gave no details of the said kidnapped family members and for how long they had been held hostage.
It also remains unclear whether the kidnappers made any ransom demands.
The police have however said that they are pursuing the suspects who are on the run.
