Popular DJ MC Fullstop grateful to be back after illness


Reggae MC John Maina, popularly known as MC Fullstop, has announced that he is back to work after his long illness.

In a post on his social media pages, Fullstop declared his presence “back in the building” and expressed his eagerness to dive headfirst into work.

“Area kama bacteria #reggaeboyzonNRG,” he said.

The news overjoyed Fullstop’s fans and took to social media to express their support.

“Welcome back, Fullstop! We missed you,” one fan wrote.

“So glad to hear that you’re feeling better,” another fan said. “Can’t wait to hear you on the radio again.”

Renowned for his captivating performances on both radio and TV, MC Fullstop also showcased his unwavering commitment to his craft, even in the face of adversity.

Despite the strain on his hoarse voice caused by his health condition, he delivered an unforgettable show, leaving listeners in awe of his unwavering determination in a viral video.

In May, he shared another update about his health with his fans, just days after revealing that one of his lungs had collapsed.

The artist had disclosed his battle with tuberculosis (TB) in 2021, which significantly impacted his lungs.

In 2022, he faced another setback when diagnosed with TB of the throat, affecting his ability to speak, run, walk, and perform daily activities.

“My left lung has totally collapsed nimebaki na moja. In 2021 I was diagnosed with TB ya lungs ikasosi lungs kabisa. 2022 nikapata TB ya throat nayo ikanimaliza sauti, running, walking, kuongea ni shida,” he said.

He also reacted to fake news regarding his death by expressing his frustrations in his recent Instagram post.

Taking to his Twitter account, the spin master bemoaned his death news.

In March, he was diagnosed with tuberculosis, which caused his left lung to collapse.

“Kenyans just killed me! Hivyo tu! This fake news has affected me, my family, and my friends. Where can I report the first account sio ya Citizen ni parody?”
