‘Pretense is exhausting…’ Lilian Muli hints at relationship struggles
Renowned media personality Lilian Muli has left her followers speculating about the state of her personal life.
The mother of two shared a message reflecting on past failures and emphasized her commitment to authenticity.
“Pretense is exhausting. Thankful that I don’t know how to pretend. I’ve failed miserably before. If I don’t like, I don’t like. If I don’t want, I don’t want. Usually, there’s a reason too. Choose yourself always,” she conveyed.
Known for her eloquence and style, Muli has a history of addressing personal challenges through her social media platforms.
In July of this year, she cryptically expressed feeling betrayed by those close to her, stating:
“People out here stabbing you with the same steak knife you set the table with after making the steak. This life no balance.”
While Muli did not disclose the identities or details of the betrayal, her openness about such matters has become a characteristic feature of her online presence.
The media personality, who got married to Moses Kanene in a lavish ceremony in September 2009, filed for divorce in January 2016, citing infidelity.
Subsequently, she entered a relationship with businessman Jared Ombogi, resulting in the birth of their son, Liam.
However, in 2018, Muli announced the end of their relationship.
Jared Ombogi, the chairman of Shabana FC, recently attended an event with Muli in July, sparking speculation about a potential reconciliation.
On Father’s Day, Muli publicly acknowledged Ombogi’s role as a father, posting a heartwarming photo of them together with the caption, “Baba Liam. Mr chairman. Shabana FC. Tore Bobe.”
In August 2021, Muli took a reflective moment to write a heartfelt letter to herself.
The mother of two issued a powerful cautionary note against allowing herself to be entangled with individuals who would not reciprocate love during her less desirable moments.
“Do not settle for an ordinary lover; do not accept anything less than what you truly deserve. You are inherently deserving of a love that is passionate and intense,” she penned.
“You deserve to be cherished as a whole, embracing your imperfections and flaws. You deserve someone who prioritizes you, making you feel like the center of their world.
“You deserve someone who remains steadfast by your side during your darkest times. You deserve someone who chooses to love you unconditionally, even when you may not appear to be at your most lovable.” Signed with affection, ‘Love, Lillian Muli.
