Prezzo arrested for disorderly conduct

Controversial Kenyan rapper, Jackson Makini, better known as Prezzo, was on Saturday night arrested after he tried to force himself into someone’s vehicle at Nyayo Estate in Nairobi.

Prezzo is said to have hailed a motorist for a lift but when his request was turned down, he attempted to forcefully get into the car while at the same time threatening the motorist.

Guards at the estate then called police officers from Embakasi Police Station, who arrested and booked the musician who reportedly seemed inebriated.

When Nairobi News reached Embakasi OCPD Appollo Onyonyi to confirm the arrest, he referred us to the DCIO who however didn’t answer his phone.

Residents of Nyayo Estate said that Prezzo was in a company of three people who fled after the police were called and one of their cars was towed away.

INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR

In recent times Prezzo has repeatedly appeared in public in a state that has left many questions begging.

In January 2016, the rapper subjected himself to public criticism for what was deemed as inappropriate behaviour while appearing on a live TV show on KTN.

The entertainer, who seemed inebriated, could hardly answer questions straight and kept on slurring his answers in a manner that indicated he was trying to make a pass on the show’s host Betty Kyalo.

A few months later, it was also reported that he showed up at a TV interview in Tanzania intoxicated.

He has also once been arrested for shooting in the air at the entrance to a Westland’s based nightclub.
