Promoter mistreats Kenyan musicians, favours Diamond
Mombasa-based artistes claim that they were mistreated by promoters at the Jamhuri Day Diamond concert last Friday.
They say the promoter ejected all the Coast-based musicians from the VIP lounge, saying it was meant for Diamond and his crew only.
NO PROBLEM
Songstress Nyota Ndogo said Diamond had no problem with the Kenyan musicians being present at the lounge.
“Artistes like Susumila wanted just some water to drink but they were denied by the promoter,” Nyota Ndogo told Nairobi News.
“When I also asked for some water to drink, the promoter said she had paid us enough money to buy our own water, or drink tap water.”
Only Diamond and his crew used the VIP lounge all night as the rest of the musicians from Mombasa were in a separate room with only two chairs, added Nyota.
