Prosecute survivors of road accidents

February 17th, 2014 1 min read

The decision to deny compensation to any pedestrian hit by a vehicle crossing a road within 200 metres from a footbridge might just get Nairobians to stop gambling with their lives.

If it was up to me, any survivor would be prosecuted for endangering the lives of other road users.

The fine for the offence should cost them an arm and a leg.

That is the only way Nairobians, a people used to impunity at all levels can learn.
