People living with disabilities from the Northern region have appealed to President William Ruto to give them a chance to play their role in his administration.

“It is an open secret that PWDs in this country are a disadvantaged lot on many fronts. The situation is even worse for those living in ASAL areas,” Mr Hafid said.

He stated that PWDs strongly believe they we are well-positioned to contribute to nation-building and the actualisation of the Kenya Kwanza vision.

At the same time, Mr Hafid lauded the President for his efforts to fix the economy.

“President William Ruto should pay close attention to the cries of the people with special needs. Affordable housing is a game changer in the country and people with special needs should not be left out,” he said.

During the campaign period, President Ruto outlined an elaborate plan to improve the livelihoods of persons living with disabilities if elected.

He also pledged to double school bursaries and learning facilities for children with disabilities.
