Raila to unveil Sh22m Raila Education Centre in Kibra – PHOTOS
Cord leader Raila Odinga will on Wednesday unveil the Sh22 million ultra-modern academic block at Raila Education Centre in Kibra Constituency.
ODM Secretary General Dr Agnes Zani confirmed that Mr Odinga will lead other guests in opening the facility.
Kibra MP Ken Okoth said the project was built with teh help of charity funding from international friends of the Raila Odinga Centre and funds from Kibra Constituency Development Fund kitty.
“It is a flagship CDF project that celebrates our commitment to the principle of empowerment through education; one of the key pillars of social democracy,” Mr Okoth told Nairobi News on Tuesday.
He added: “The launch of the facility will benefit generations of Kibra children who shall school here.”
Mr Okoth said Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero will also attend the opening. Cord co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetang’ula are also expected.
“We hope this project will enhance the success of our children for a better country,” said the MP.
