Raila’s podium collapses as he addresses rally – VIDEO
Cord leader Raila Odinga’s pre-Easter visit to Malindi almost turned tragic after his podium gave in while he was addressing a political rally.
The opposition leader was a visit to Malindi to express his solidarity with embattled Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho when the incident happened.
An online video shot, probably from a cellphone by someone in the crowd who attended the rally, shows Raila and those on the podium being swallowed up by the crumbling podium.
Interestingly, the incident happened just as Raila was regaling the crowd with one of his trademark hilarious proverbial analogy drawn from the Bible about the temptation of Jesus Christ.
No word has come out if the Cord leader and his entourage were injured during the incident.
