Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey’s big surprise to Kenyan journalist
The Real Housewives of Atlanta superstar Cynthia Bailey has given Kenyan journalist Caroline Obuya the biggest shock of her life. According to the journalist, the celebrated star delivered a pleasant surprise after she started following her.
“Cynthia shocked the excited hell out of me. I logged into my account on Sunday mid-morning and under priority, I saw Cynthia Bailey started following you,” she said.
Ms Obuya revealed that she first thought it was one of those fake accounts, but on checking again, she confirmed that it was a verified account with almost 4 million followers.
“I couldn’t believe my eyes. The first thing I did was screen shot the follow and shared it on my Insta Stories with the caption: ‘Awwwwwwww, see who started following me on IG, I feel the love. Thank you @cynthiabailey,’” she said.
Still excited, in another status update, Ms Obuya wrote: “When the rich, famous and superstar start following you; know that the anointing in you is doing press-ups. Later the same day, the RHOA superstar uploaded a photo of herself and captioned it ‘New energy, new beginnings.’ I liked and commented on the post. Little did I know that she would pin my comment alongside her sister Malorie Bailey (mal_bailey)’s pinned comment.”
While some musicians in Kenya like KRG are allegedly charging ‘250K’ for one Instagram follow back, Ms Obuya said that despite being a small town girl, living in a small suburb in Nairobi Kenya, she is humbled with a free follow by a celebrity all the way from Atlanta Georgia.
Cynthia Bailey has been in the news lately after she recently split with her husband Mike Hill who is a TV host/actor at fox sports, Netflix and ESPN.
Real Housewives of Atlanta is an American reality television series that premiered on Bravo on October 7, 2008.
