Red carpet rolled out as ‘Spectre’ premieres in Nairobi
Outgoing British High Commissioner Dr Christian Turner on Thursday evening hosted the red carpet premiere of the latest James Bond movie, Spectre.
Guests invited included the who is who in Nairobi including Governor Evans Kidero, his wife Susan Mboya, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and Bidco CEO Vimal Shah.
Others who attended the premiere were Martha Karua, Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman Kiprono Kittony, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Kenya Film Commission chairman Chris Foot and The Star MD William Pike.
The event was casino-themed with a display of fast cars, men in tuxedos and vodka martinis which were shaken (not stirred).
The event was sponsored by the official local Jaguar Land Rover dealer RMA Kenya, Fox Theatres and Sony.
James Bond is a fictional British Secret Service agent, currently being played by 47-year-old British actor Daniel Craig for the fourth time after he starred in Casino Royale (2006), Quantum Of Solace (2008) and Skyfall (2012).
