Police in Kisumu County have recovered body parts of a man who was reported missing by his family members last month.

Stephen Obura, was reported missing on August 24, 2019, and since then, the police have been looking for him.

On Wednesday words went round in Kobura Village, Nyando Sub-county that the deceased had a fight with an ex-convict.

According to Nyando Police Boss Leonard Matete, the police, with the help of area chief Nick Opondo, visited the home of the ex-convict.

Matete says police raided the suspect’s home where there was a foul smell that led them to an abandoned hole within the compound.

On noticing the police presence in his compound, the ex-convict fled.

The police dug up the hole and it’s here that they found the body parts which were later identified as those of Obura, the missing man.

The area residents told the police the two men had a fight sometimes back but never suspected it would have led to a death.
