Renegade Air cabin crew motivate MP George Kaluma to fly

What could be your motivation for using domestic air travel as a means of moving from one place to another?

For some, it is the efficiency and reliability of aeroplane as it takes only a few minutes to move from one town to another.

For others, it is the services offered in an aircraft including free meals and drink.

But for Homa Bay town MP Peter Kaluma, it is the beautiful cabin crews who attends to passengers in an aircraft.

For a long time, the MP said he has been travelling by road from Nairobi to his constituency, and back.

He however plans to change his means of travel.

Mr Kaluma said he will be using air transport to visit his constituents.

The journey will be from Wilson Airport in Nairobi to Kabunde Airstrip in Homa Bay town.

Speaking during the inaugural flight of Renegade Air on Monday, the MP said he will make frequent trips from Nairobi to Homa Bay town and back just to enjoy being attended to by female cabin crew by the company.

Airline companies are known to hire crew who meet specific qualifications including skin color and size of the body.

During the event at Kabunde airstrip which was attended by Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, residents of Homa Bay demanded to see the crew that Renegade Air has to judge them.

“Where are the pilots and air hostes. We want to see them,” they shouted as the management of the company were making their remarks.

Officials from the firm bowed to pressure and called the crew which by then was still inside the aircraft.

One particular cabin crew member caught the attention of many with her big body size.

Mr Kaluma said he will from then henceforth change his means of travel just because of the airline staff.

“I am motivated to use the airstrip just because of the team that will be attending to men when I am flying,” the MP said.

During the 45 minutes trip, the MP said he can have a conversation with the crew about other matters besides air travel.

“We can always discuss how we can have tea here in town,” Mr Kaluma said.

Suba South MP Caroli Omondi told the management of Renegade airline to consider hiring female cabin crew from Homa Bay.

“Being that you will be flying to Homa Bay, you should consider having staff from this county because we also have beautiful women,” he said.
