Ringtone to Octopizzo: We don’t need your advice

Gospel musician Ringtone has told off secular rapper Octopizzo saying that the gospel fraternity is not keen on his criticism and advice.

He was responding to what the rapper said during the all-gospel Groove Awards ceremony held a fortnight ago.

Octopizzo criticised gospel musicians saying they ape secular artistes too much and lose the gospel aspect in their music.

“We get advice from our gospel mentors like pastors but not from secular artistes like Octopizzo,” said Ringtone.

EXPENSIVE VIDEOS

He also said that gospel music has matured such that the musicians now have money to produce expensive videos.

He also clarified that his new video, “Party”, a collabo with his Ugandan gospel counterpart Exodus, has nothing to do with secular music as it has been criticised in the last one week.

“We spent almost Sh1 million to shoot the video, there is nothing secular about spending money in our videos,” he said.
