Protests in Donholm over bad roads – PHOTOS
Protesters blocked roads in Donholm area on Monday morning to protest at the poor state of roads in the area.
The protesters, mostly matatu operators and youths, lit bonfires and blocked the Donholm-Savanna-Jacaranda road with stones.
Morning commuters had to walk to Outer Ring Road to get a means of transport.
The protest caused a heavy traffic jam on Jogoo road towards Outer Ring Road.
Nairobi City Hall spokesperson Walter Mongare said the complaints will be dealt with.
“We apologize to residents of Donholm. We’re working on it,” Mr Mongare told Nation FM.
