Ronaldinho rolls back the years to wow fans in Kisumu – PHOTOS
Three years after retiring from professional football, ex-Brazilain star Ronaldo de Assis Moriera alias Ronaldinho Gaucho remains increasingly popular in Kenya.
The 38-year old is touring Kenya as part of his promotional activity with betting firm Betika. So far, the response from fans and public has been that of excitement.
On Saturday, Ronaldinho toured Kisumu city where he opened a betting shop, made a courtesy call on Governor Anyang Nyong’o and thrilled hundreds of residents with his skills and moves.

He also graced a mini-football tournament in the lakeside city between Vihiga United, second-tier outfits Kisumu All-Stars, Eldoret Youth and Bondo United at the Moi stadium.
“Welcome to Kisumu. This County hosts several football talents and we are hoping that your visit here will inspire many of them,” Kisumu Deputy Governor Matthew Owili said.

At the same time, residents thronged the streets in Kisumu to catch a glimpse of the FIFA World Cup and UEFA Champions League winner. Most of whom were excited, they waved at his motorcade and offered to shake his hand.
Ronaldinho was expected to participate in a local football match alongside Kenyan legends on Sunday evening before departing the country on Sunday evening.
