Rosemary Odinga gaffes big time on Twitter after K’Ogalo’s loss
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s daughter Rosemary, was on Sunday evening forced to retract an erroneous statement she had posted on Twitter following Gor Mahia’s loss to Tanzanian club Azam in the final of the Cecafa Club Championship in Dar es Salaam.
Rosemary, who is rumoured to be eyeing a political seat in the 2017 general elections, took to Twitter to congratulate Yanga SC for winning the tournament.
TOURNAMENT WINNERS
“Congratulations Yanga for your win #CECAFAKagameCup @OfficialGMFC you went further than we imagined I am proud of you..” Rosemary Tweeted to her 8,000 plus followers.
The game was actually won by Azam who defeated Gor Mahia 2-0, and Rosemary – who flew to Tanzania alongside her father and watched the match from the VIP lounge – soon discovered her mistake and posted a correction.
“I think I am still emotional guys… I meant Azam, thanks for catching it.. I guess I am only human,” She later posted.
Yanga was eliminated from the competition by Azam in the quarter-finals.
