Rosemary Odinga sparks speculations by accompanying Baba to Nigeria
Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya Coalition leader Raila Odinga is in Nigeria with his second-born child Rosemary Odinga. The opposition leader arrived in Abuja on Monday ahead of the 2022 Leadership Conference and Awards.
Mr Odinga is attending the conference in his capacity as the High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa, following his appointment to the position in March 2018 by the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat.
“It feels great to be in Abuja, Nigeria for tomorrow’s 2022 Leadership Conference and Awards! Let’s learn, connect, and celebrate together,” Mr Odinga tweeted.

The former Prime Minister was appointed to the position to help spearhead African Union’s drive to expedite the continent’s integration through infrastructure and promote economic growth and sustainable development due to his vast experience in leadership.
Other than his daughter, the ODM leader was accompanied by a number of close allies and political associates including Philip Etale, who is the party’s publicist and Prof Makau Mutua, who served as Azimio spokesperson.
Mr Odinga flew out of the country on Sunday evening, shortly after he addressed a mammoth political rally at Jacaranda grounds in Nairobi in his latest onslaught at the government of President William Ruto over the outcome of last year’s General Election.

Rosemary’s presence in her dad’s entourage has sparked speculation over in what capacity he she accompanied the opposition chief.
Rosemary, who was once touted as Mr Odinga’s heir apparent, is still recovering from a life-threatening ailment that saw her partial lose her eyesight. But after being away from the public eye for three years, Rosemary appears to be slowly making her way back in the political limelight.
Rosemary’s younger sibling Winnie was recently nominated to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) after playing an integral role in her father’s failed bid to be elected president in last year’s polls.
