It’s a girl! Rotimi and Vanessa Mdee expecting baby number 2
Celebrity couple actor Rotimi and singer Vanessa Mdee have announced they are expecting a second child via their respective social media pages.
In a video they shared, the couple is seen standing close to one another with Rotimi holding a black umbrella right before he opened it over them for pink coloured roses to fall, indicating the gender of their second child is a girl.
Rotimi and Mdee welcomed their first child, Seven, in September last year, news which they shared still on their social media after they both posted a photo of their hands and that of their then-newborn child.

The couple revealed they were expecting their first child weeks before Seven’s arrival, saying, “We are super excited to welcome our son. As first-time parents, everything about this experience has been a brand-new challenge. We love it.”
Just a few months after the birth of Seven, the Tanzanian songbird hinted at having baby number 2.
Via a post on social media, Mdee shared a video of her partner where he is seen rocking a baby cradle with his leg while sipping on a colourful drink, a post she captioned, “When I tell you these two melt my heart. I walk in on them having Daddy – Son – Fun, baby number two loading. #BestDadAward.”

In response to the Tanzanian singer’s post, Rotimi said, “Oh yeah?? Meet me in the shower.”
This left a section of netizens gushing over the romance between the internet sensations, with others flooding the comment section with love emojis and best wishes if at all the couple could be serious.
Rotimi and Vanessa got engaged in December 2020. Earlier this year, Rotimi disclosed why he engaged the Tanzanian beauty, citing her principles.
On The Pivot Podcast, Rotimi noted that he went for an African woman since they are submissive to their husbands.

He also explained that African women understand how to treat a man perfectly.
“When you have an African woman, you get a woman who is cautious about our understanding of how to treat a man and how to be submissive,” Rotimi said.
The actor also heaped praises on Mdee, noting that besides being beautiful, she also understands when to get tough.
“It’s just a balance that is hard to find and I don’t say you don’t get that in American women but a lot of African women are made to be queens in their minds and also to be great wives,” Rotimi added.
