Ruto blames governors for their randy deputies – VIDEO
Deputy President William Ruto has blamed governors for their wayward deputies.
Mr Ruto, who spoke in Kakamega during the closure of the Devolution Conference, accused the county chiefs of sidelining their assistants in the running of the affairs, leaving them idle.
“My brothers and sisters governors…the devil is a very bad man. And you know the kind of loss and damage the devil can cause with an idle mind. So to avoid the great risk of the devil engaging idle minds in your offices because you have kept your deputies jobless…is really risky,” he said amid laughter.
“So, please, it is important that the relationship between governors and their deputies is worked so that devil doesn’t have the space to use idle minds to drive any evil agenda. And I’m not being specific on any situation.”

The DP sentiments were a subtle reaction to a viral video of Kirinyaga Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri who was caught pants down with a naked woman.
Mr Ndambiri has apologized for the incident.
“I would like to take this opportunity to get ahead of the video and story in circulation. Right now what matters most is my family and my people of Kirinyaga who look up to me for guidance. To them, I say sorry,” he said.
“There are gangsters targeting politicians for purposes of extortion. I was set up by the gang took me through an agonising moment. And for the thugs, I say, your days are numbered.”
