Ruto: Maraga has had his day, ours is coming – VIDEO
Deputy President William Ruto has echoed the sentiments of President Uhuru Kenyatta with an explicit warning to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court over the ruling of the presidential election petition.
Mr Ruto at the same time reiterated that the ruling Jubilee Party won the August 8 presidential elections fair and square.
“Tunataka (David) Maraga atuskie vizuri, kwa sababu he has had his day, ours is coming. By the way, that is not a threat. He has had his day, he has done his game, our day is coming,” Ruto said.
The DP, spoke while addressing leaders elected on Jubilee Party tickets at State House, Nairobi, including Governors, Senators, MPs, Women Representatives and MCAs.
FAIR AND SQUARE
“Jubilee and President Kenyatta won the elections fair and square. We won a majority of seats in the gubernatorial, senatorial, member of national assembly and member of county assembly and women representative seats,” he said.
Speaking at the event, President Kenyatta made a vow to “fix” the Supreme Court judges who delivered the landmark ruling in the event that he wins the fresh polls that will be held in 60 days’ time.
This is the latest of the barrage of attack that the president and his deputy have directed at the Supreme Court just 24 hours after the ruling that nullified President Kenyatta’s election victory.
