Rwandese singer Isacco talks music industry challenges in his new project
Rwandese singer Murwanashyaka Nzabonimana, popularly known as Isacco, has released his newest single, “On S’amuse,” meaning “we are having fun.”
Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Julien Bmjizzo, the music video is not only a sonic delight but also a visual feast, adding an extra layer of depth to the song.
Isacco revealed that he spared no expense in the creation of the music video, investing over Sh2 million to ensure top-notch quality.
“Honestly, the music video expenses were substantial. Flying Julien to France and covering all his costs, especially given his experience with top artists like Diamond Platnumz, was a significant investment,” the star said.
Breaking down the costs further, Isacco explained:
“Securing models for the shoot, renting the filming location, and managing the entire crew also added to the high costs. Despite my initial budget of Sh900,000 unforeseen events led to a total expenditure of Sh2 million.
However, I have no regrets as long as it translates into a quality production for my fans.”
Isacco’s latest single delves into his unique life experiences, offering a glimpse into his world.
He says the song reflects on his music journey which has been filled with highs and lows.
“Despite the challenges, I persevered, maintaining a positive mindset to reach my goal. While the path wasn’t easy, nothing is impossible with determination. Now, I celebrate my success; the key is to stay focused and work hard,” he said.
Speaking about the challenges he faced in his career, Isacco offers words of encouragement to aspiring artists, saying:
“There will be discouragement, skepticism, and loneliness, but this is where one must never give up. Finding peace within yourself during such moments is gratifying, especially when you prove doubters wrong with unexpected achievements. It is also important to be patient with your journey.”
Isacco’s dedication to his craft and commitment to delivering excellence continue to earn him accolades from fans and critics alike.
As anticipation builds for his second album, slated for release at the end of this year, Isacco remains a shining star in the Rwandan music scene, captivating hearts with his soulful melodies and inspiring journey.
