Sample the best of India at Sarit exhibition

Indian culture enthusiasts will for the next nine days have the opportunity to sample the best from the Asian nation at the Colours of India Exhibition.

The exhibition which kicked off on Thursday is being held at the Sarit Centre Expo Hall and will run from 10 am up to 8pm every day.

“This year we have done something different, we have exhibitors from six countries, our focus is and has always been to bring the culture of India and the surrounding regions to Kenyan consumers,” says one of the organisers, a Mr Iqbal.

An assortment of goods from India, Pakistan, Egypt, Iran, Singapore and Malaysia will be on sale at wholesale prices while entry to the expo is free.

Thousands of people are expected to attend the expo.

The organisers have set up 60 spacious stalls at the air-conditioned exhibition hall selling an array of items ranging from furniture, carpets, Indian and Pakistani traditional clothing, handbags, shoes and even household and cleaning items as well as some food products.

There will also be entertainment with popular fire show crews flown in from India to perform for the guests.
