Sarah Cohen demands fresh investigations into the murder of her billionaire husband
Ms Sarah Cohen, the woman accused of murdering her husband, now wants fresh investigations to be launched on how billionaire Tob Cohen died.
Through her lawyer Mr Philip Murgor, Ms Cohen penned a letter to the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji requesting that fresh investigations are launched into the matter.
Mr Murgor, in the letter penned on Thursday, October 13, said that the resignation of immediate former Director of Criminal Investigations Mr George Kinoti and the retirement of Mr Hillary Mutyambai the former Inspector General was enough reason to have the matter re-investigated.

Ms Sarah is accused of ending the life of her husband in September 2019 and the case has been dragging in court since then.
“We call upon you to exercise power under Article 157 of the Constitution to have the charges against our client withdrawn.
It is crucial that the investigations should include the role played by George Kinoti during investigations, including a possible cover-up of the real perpetrators,” the letter read in part.

The former DCI boss is also accused of working with unnamed political leaders to tamper with the case.
Mr Murgor in the letter said that the fresh investigations would be a clear indication that the matter will be solved reasonably.
He also accused the former DCI boss of acting contrary to Ms Sarah’s rights because he was working with political leaders who served under former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime.

The lawyer also questions why Mr Kinoti worked round the clock to ensure that Ms Sarah does not get any inheritance from her late husband.
Ms Sarah now says that she should be allowed to go back to her matrimonial home promising that she will never tamper with the case in any way whatsoever.
She said that already all the necessary required evidence was collected from the scene of the crime and she was not planning to change anything in the matter.
