Saumu Mbuvi getting along with first baby daddy after trashing ex, Lamu Senator

Saumu Mbuvi, the firstborn daughter of former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko, seems to be getting along with her first baby daddy Benson Gatu.

Saumu shared pictures on her Insta-stories of spending time with her daughter, whom she sired with the businessman-cum-politician.

“God bless the first seed of my womb. May she be a great woman, God fearing and loving. May the seed you place in her before birth blossom amen.” Saumu wrote.

Gatu shared a similar picture on his Insta-stories.

According to his caption, Saumu, like a typical Kenyan baby mama, sent a picture of herself and the girl when Gatu asked for a picture of his daughter.

In the banter, Gatu wrote, “When you ask your baby mama for a nice picture of your girl, this is what Saumu sent.”

Gatu and Saumu dated for a while, and in early 2017, they were blessed with a bouncing baby girl, but their relationship didn’t last.

Gatu moved on with Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria’s daughter Racheal and Saumu hooked up with former Lamu Senator Loitiptip and even got a child.

The post comes days after Saumu celebrated her second baby daddy’s loss in Lamu’s senatorial seat.

News of Anwar Loitiptip losing the seat saw Saumu head to her Instagram, where she called for a massive celebration.

“Congratulations to the new Lamu Senator and Women Rep. Mko wapi tuanze kusherekea (Where is everyone, we need to start the celebration),” Saumu Mbuvi wrote on Instagram.

At the beginning of 2021, Saumu and Loitiptip parted ways, and immediately Saumu was rumoured to be back with her first baby daddy.

Now, the two, Saumu and Gatu successfully co-parent and always celebrates each other on special occasions like birthdays.

“In my youth, I met a great soul and in our youth, we made memories and a daughter.

You gave me a female version of me and forever will be grateful,” Gatu gushed.

“On your birthday, I wish you joy, love good health, success, greatness and above all, favour in God’s eyes and men (Lakini si mafisi) in the year ahead. Happy born day Saumu,” Gatu wrote in March.

In June, however, Saumu revealed that there is no romantic fling between her and her baby daddy Gatu and that she is still single but ready to fall in love again.
