Sauti Sol to perform with Beyonce
Kenyan Afro-pop all-boy band Sauti Sol will share the same stage with some of the biggest international names, including American music star Beyonce Knowles at the Global Citizen Festival on Saturday, September 26, 2015 in New York.
According a tweet on the award winning quartet’s Twitter handle, Sauti Sol left for New York on Friday night.
Apart from Beyonce, other international acts expected to perform at the festival are Ed Sheeran, ColdPlay, and Pearl Jam.
The Global Citizen Festival will follow the historic signing of the UN’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development by 193 world leaders on Friday at the United Nations in New York.
Information available on Sauti Sol’s website indicate that the performance will be filmed live and broadcast on YouTube and American TV channel NBC.
