Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) employees were temporarily evacuated from their offices at Times Tower after two gas cylinders exploded on Wednesday morning.
The cause of the explosions has not yet been established.
The authority’s laboratory is located on fourth floor where the gas cylinders exploded.
KRA security personnel have confirmed the incident.
Operations in the building, the tallest in East and Central Africa, were briefly disrupted as scarred employees scampred for safety.
The employees afterwards refused to use the lifts opted for the stairs.
