Someone is ‘selling’ Kenya at a ‘negotiable’ price
A Kenyan who resides in Ongata Rongai has placed Kenya on ‘sale’ through an online marketplace platform and offered anyone who can afford it to place his/her bid.
The anonymous ‘seller’ placed the intention for sale on Friday on the popular OLX, the Argentinian global online marketplace which operates in more than 45 countries.
This was just hours before the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced the winner of the hotly contested presidential election.
The unknown individual’s decision to place Kenya on ‘sale’ maybe have been informed by widespread fears for chaos at a time when Kenyans were impatiently waiting for the IEBC to announce the results of the presidential election.
The seller went ahead and advised any willing seller that he was ready to negotiate the Sh90 billion ‘price tag’ and to made his offer more lucrative by pointing out the abundance of tourist attractions in the country.
“It is still in good condition but I cant guarantee that after today (Friday)… Am selling so that I can relocate to another country,” the ‘seller’ wrote.
