Senator Olekina tackles Kidero for attacking Raila

Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has given former Nairobi governor Dr Evans Kidero a serious tongue-lashing for ‘speaking ill’ about ODM leader Raila Odinga.

On his social media page, the vocal politician has threatened to ‘expose’ Kidero’s dealings if he continue to attack Mr Odinga.

“My friend Kidero Evans you know that I know all about the dealing in Nairobi County 2013 to 2017. Things don’t go away easily,” the senator said.

He also chided Dr Kidero for seeking relevance in President William Ruto’s government.

Olekina’s sentiments follows Dr Kidero’s criticism of the demands that Mr Odinga is pushing President Ruto to yield to.

“There is no way Raila can occupy State House five months after the presidential election winner was announced. His demands are unrealistic,” Dr Kidero said, adding that the ODM leader should stop claiming that he won last year’s presidential elections.

“We have 46,299 polling stations and it was the result of the polling stations that were announced. No one came out and said that the votes of certain polling stations were surpassed,” he said.

Kidero further pointed out that Mr Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya Coalition rejected the results and filed a petition which was dealt with at the Supreme Court of Kenya.

“The elections were done, contested and went to the Supreme Court. Sixteen petitions were made and we got our president who is William Ruto. Now claiming that Ruto didn’t win is like chasing the wind,” Kidero said.

Since last year’s polls and the subsequent assumption of office by President Ruto, Mr Odinga has maintained that he won the election and as such does not recognize Dr Ruto as the President of the Republic of Kenya.

Mr Odinga has so far held two mega rallies in Nairobi as he seek to mobilise his supporters to resist against President’s administrative policies.
