Shame of pastor who married 17 year old girl
A pastor who is also head of a city school is being investigated for marrying one of his form four students.
He is said to have brought the girl from Turkana with the promise of free education only to marry her last year.
Local District Officer Gerald Omoke said he was investigating the case with a view to taking action against the man.
“I am conducting my own investigations to verify the reports. I have been hearing rumours that he has married the school girl which is a criminal offence,” Mr Omoke said.
The principal is the Rev. Kariuki Wanjohi, 55, sponsor of Faith Academy in Huruma, a day and boarding secondary school.
Pastor Wanjohi, of Faith Miracle Centre, readily admitted living with the girl, who has turned 18, as man and wife and with full consent of her parents.
