Shebesh shielded from journalists

October 13th, 2013 1 min read

In the midst of public uproar about compromising pictures on the internet, Nairobi Women Representative Rachel Shebesh on Friday shunned the media.

Mrs Shebesh had attended a conference on disaster management and risk reduction at the Sarova Stanely Hotel.

The Member of Parliament who has been in the news for all the wrong reasons was keen on sticking to the agenda as was clearly demonstrated by her handlers.

“You can only ask questions concerning the topic of the day,” cautioned the session’s moderator, Mr Gordon Muga, maybe, anticipating questions concerning the farce that has tarnished  her image as well as that of Nairobi Senator Gidion Mbuvi.

Bad publicity

It was the first time she was appearing in public after alleged nude pictures of her started doing rounds in social media, days after she allegedly clashed with Mr Mbuvi at Parliament buildings.

Mr Mbuvi has since rubbished the photos, saying they were photo-shopped to tarnish his name after he refused to be defrauded.

When she rose to the podium, Mrs Shebesh was authoritative and exuded her usual confidence. She appeared unshaken by the bad publicity in the recent weeks. Last month, she was allegedly slapped by Governor Evans Kidero.
