A village in Kisii County has been left in shock after the bodies of two children, who police believe were murdered, were found dumped in a maize plantation on Friday morning.

The bloodied bodies of the two children were found laying besides each other in the plantation in Kiobegi, Nyamache in Kisii County.

The father of the two children, who were aged 10 months old and two-and-a-half year old, has since been arrested in connection to the incident.

Speaking at the scene, Nyamache Police Boss Kepkemboi Kipkulei said investigations into the incident has already commenced.

The police boss said the father of the children has been reported to have mental health issues.
