Show us more happy marriages! Lilian Ng’ang’a criticises online content

Lilian Ng’ang’a, wife of rapper Julius Owino aka Juliani, advocates a shift towards sharing more positive stories on social media.

She stresses the importance of showcasing happy moments and encourages people to highlight stories of successful marriages, thriving friendships, happy children, career achievements and strong parent-child bonds.

Ng’ang’a acknowledges the prevalence of sympathy-driven content but urges a balance by amplifying the many positive events in society.

“We need to see and hear more happy stories. Stories of happy marriages, flourishing friendships, joyous kids, career excellence, healthy parent-child relationships etc. I know sympathy sells but there are a lot of good things happening out there. Please show us.”

In a past interview, Lilian Ng’ang’a, spoke about her journey into motherhood.

She expressed so much joy for her son, Utheri, whose name means “light.”

Lillian Ng’ang’a married Juliani in an invite-only wedding held at Paradise Lodge on February 2, 2022.

They started dating in June 2021 – two months before she publicly announced her marriage to Tourism CS Alfred Mutua was over.

While the couple initially kept their pregnancy private, it eventually became a topic of public discussion after photos leaked online.

She described her marriage to Juliani as effortless and fulfilling.

“My marriage is easy and beautiful, I sometimes don’t even feel like I am married, I do not have the pressure to conform. Juliani is very independent, he is living his life and I am living mine but we are together. He is a brilliant person and wants the best for me, he brings out the best in me,” she said.
