Skin Republik spreads the Korean K-Beauty wave to Kenya

Korean Beauty, popularly known as K-Beauty, is now making a foray into the Kenyan skin care market hoping to penetrate the competitive local industry.

The Korean company is banking on its strength in using natural ingredients which has been the driving force behind the success of Korean Skincare products.

Speaking to Nairobi News, Skin Republik marketing executive Elizabeth Kaleche said the skincare routine focused on improving the skin from the inside out.

“The notion here is that a truly radiant complexion doesn’t happen overnight by simply treating the skin’s outer layers. Using the right products, maintaining a healthy, well hydrated and nourished skin is the key,” said Kaleche.

According to Kaleche, use of natural ingredients is the inspiration driving K-Beauty as the brand shuns harsh chemicals to ensure their products are gentle on the skin.

She said the brand has faced stiff competition in Korea and this has prepared it to fight competitively in the Kenyan market for the benefit of consumers without compromising on their quality and prices.

She has lauded the world class quality management controls in the Korean manufacturing market as well as ethics and standards as among the top among OECD countries and give the firm an edge.

Skin Republik is the authorised importer and distributor of Farmstay Brand of skincare products among other Korean brands in Kenya and East Africa and was established in the country in late 2019.

“Most consumers associate premium quality with extremely expensive prices. Well, you get the same quality products in Kenya at the same prices as in South Korea,” she added.
