Socialite Zari accused of abandoning kids for Diamond
Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan, who is dating Tanzanian musician Diamond Platinumz, is alleged to have abandoned her three children in Johannesburg, South Africa.
For the better part of December, Zari has been on a leisurely tour of East Africa with Diamond, and questions are now being raised over her abdication of her motherly duties.
As the week began, King Lawrence, a popular Ugandan tycoon living in Johannesburg, took to social media to offer Diamond $40,000 (Sh 3.6 million) to leave Zari alone and allow her take care of her children, since “they miss her”.
King Lawrence is the brother to Ugandan tycoon Ivan Ssemwanga, who is the biological father of Zari’s three children. Ivan and Zari’s marriage ended when they moved from Uganda to South Africa.
On December 18, Zari had organized her annual Zari All White Party at Kampala’s Club Guvnor with Diamond as the star attraction. She arrived in Kampala from Johannesburg just a few days to the event, according to her Instagram page.
NEW YEAR’S EVE VIBE CONCERT
After the show, Zari seems to have spent some time with her family, including her children, in Kampala, for Christmas. She then left Kampala for Burundi, where Diamond was performing on December 27.
Unconfirmed reports indicated that the two met on transit at JKIA before heading to Bunjumbura together. After the Burundi show, they left for the New Year’s Eve Vibe Concert in Kigali, Rwanda, where they spent over five days, before and after the New Year.
While in Rwanda, Zari missed one of her son’s birthday and only posted a message on social media to him.
About five days after the New Year, hell broke loose as the children’s uncle, King Lawrence, started blasting Zari on social media, saying that the children are missing her in South Africa.
