Sofapaka chase Ugandan striker’s signature

Sofapaka have reportedly placed a Sh 2 million bid for Ugandan striker Herman Wasswa.

The development has been confirmed by the player’s agent Geoffrey Kayemba.

“They (Sofapaka) have presented their bid but we are still negotiating to see if it can be improved,” Kayemba was quoted by Ugandan website Kawowo Sports.

Sofapaka President Elly Kalekwa has personally flown to Uganda to seal this deal.

Waswa, who is currently attached to top flight club Kampala City Council, scored eight goals during the just concluded Azam Uganda Premier League.

Batoto ba Mungu intend to acquire Wasswa as a replacement for Enock Agwanda and Abdul Razak Fiston who have just left the club.

Fiston has joined South Africa’s top tier club Mamelodi Sundowns in a reported Sh 20 million deal while Agwanda has moved to Gor Mahia.
