Sonko, Babu Owino congratulate selves for ‘victory’
Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Mike Mbuvi Sonko and Embakasi East candidate Paul Ongili, aka Babu Owino, have congratulated themselves after provisional results projected their wins.
Senator Sonko uploaded a brief video on his Facebook page thanking city residents for electing him and promised “not to let them down.”

The video was uploaded moments before Sonko’s closest challenger and incumbent Governor Evans Kidero rejected the provisional results.
Embakasi East candidate Babu Owino was slammed by his followers on Twitter after declaring himself winner despite his party leader Raila Odinga rejecting results on allegations of hackers invading the IEBC database.
We did it with a total of 46 741 votes (52.6%). Thanks to God , my dear wife and the whole of Embakasi East fraternity for this opportunity
