Sonko spotted with Sh200m Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon watch
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko was spotted wearing a super expensive designer watch.
Some time ago, Sonko attended the installation ceremony of Dubai-based billionaire Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli as the Kamba leader in Kalundu, Kitui County, where he was a guest of honour.
The prestigious event boasted an impressive guest list, including notable figures such as the Cabinet Secretary for East African Community, The Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs) & Regional Development, Penina Malonza.
Sonko stole the show with his sleek look that left the residents in awe with his expensive watch.

The former governor was seen wearing a limited edition Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon Baguette Ruby watch, which he says costs him Sh50 million.
“It’s Sh50 million,” Sonko confirmed through his close ally.
It appears the former governor purchased the watch when the shilling was stronger. As of the time we were going to press, the watch cost USD 1.5 million, approximately equivalent to Sh212,261,700.
According to the Jacob & Co. website, the Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon Rubies And White Diamonds is a unique piece in 18K rose gold. and to buy it you reach out to a sales rep because the price is not indicated on the website.
The idea behind the inspiration of the watch was, ” conceived by Jacob & Co. together with Bugatti – how to reproduce the visceral sensation of the iconic Bugatti 16-cylinder engine in a timepiece.”
The watch features 266 white diamonds and 73 specifically-cut baguette rubies, weighing approximately 15.36 ct, which complements the 30 white diamonds (1.15 ct) and 30 rubies on the crowns (1.14 ct), the 18 baguette diamonds on the buckle of the rubber strap (1.71 ct), and one last ruby sitting on top of the flying tourbillon with a 30° incline.

According to Jacob & Co., the watch was the first to feature a 30º-inclined tourbillon.
The “flying” part of the tourbillon means that the regulating organ is only supported from underneath, so the tourbillon is even more mesmerizing.
The 30º inclination makes it easier to admire this incredible complication through the replica of the Bugatti horseshoe-shaped grille.
The governor is known for his lavish style ranging from high-ended vehicles, gold chains, rings, and even phones.
In the past year, Sonko found himself in a situation where he had to present some of his jewellery for authentication in response to scepticism from online fans.
A jeweller located in the CBD verified and assessed the value of all the gold jewellery, totalling Sh7.23 million.
