Sports journalist Sean Cardovillis returns to Capital FM

After taking a break from active journalism, veteran sports journalist Sean Cardovillis has announced his comeback as a sports presenter at Capital FM. Cardovillis will also present a music and sports show every Saturday.

“I’m back! After 18 years, it’s great to return to @CapitalFMKenya I’ll be presenting the sports updates Mondays to Fridays, and also presenting Saturday Music & Sports as we rebrand sports at the station. I start on Monday at Kenya’s number one radio station,” Sean tweeted.

Sean is among the most renowned sports presenters and personality in the country. He has more than 20 years experience in radio and TV. He has previously worked for KTN and most recently NTV Sports. Between 2006 and 2012 he worked for Paradise FM in the tal FM in the Seychelles.

Sean started his career back in 1997 at Capital FM as a presenter before rising to the position of sports editor at the same station. He then joined Nation Media Group in 2014 working for radio and later moved to NTV as a sports journalist before leaving in 2020.

He has covered numerous sporting events both locally and abroad, including the Safari Rally, Safari 7s rugby tournament, the Olympic Games, the Cricket World Cup, the African Cup of Nations and PGA Tour golf events. He has interviewed top golfer Tiger Woods twice in Dubai at the Dubai Desert Classic.
