I still find ugali tasteless, says Belgium envoy – VIDEO
Working in a foreign country with different culture, music and food is no walk in the park. Despite working in Kenya for about two years now, Belgian envoy, Ineke Rentmeester, still finds ugali tasteless.
Though she is open to the idea of good ugali, she admits she still hasn’t found someone to cook it well. In an exclusive interview with Nairobi News, the Belguim envoy also revealed some of the unique things she has discovered about Kenyans.
Ineke is in charge of political affairs and public diplomacy at the Kenyan consulate. She says she loves working in Kenya and through her position connects Kenyans with the Belgian culture.
“On the 22nd to 26th of February we have organized the Belgian week. We shall have several activities to expose Kenyans to our food. I look forward to meeting more Kenyans and I hope I can find a cook who can make tasty ugali and make Kenyans proud,” she told Nairobi News.
