Student drowns after sneaking to school’s pool
A form three student at St Georges girls secondary school drowned on Wednesday evening moments after sneaking to the school’s swimming pool.
Yvonne Narocho, 15, was reportedly in a group of twenty form three girls who had sneaked to the swimming pool at 4.42pm.
The circumstances leading to her drowning are still not clear.
She was rescued by teachers and rushed to Nairobi Women Hsopital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
School principal Bertha Omanya reported the incident at Kileleshwa police station.
Her body is at the Montezuma Monalisa funeral home.
