Police are still looking for a form three student who killed his father in Nairobi’s Mukuru Kwa Njenga Slums last week.

And as the search continues, the boy’s mother says she does not want to ever see him.

Embakasi OCPD Akello Odhiambo said the 17 year old student at Galaxy Secondary School has not  returned home since the incident and police have no leads on his whereabouts.

“We are still combing the slums to see if we will find him however hard it is. He might just be in one of his friend’s house,” Mr Odhiambo said on Monday.

The teenager stabbed his father with a kitchen following a family row.

He is said to have been quarreling with his 11 year old sibling when his father tried to intervene.

The boy pushed his father into the kitchen, drew  a kitchen knife and stabbed him severally on the stomach and fled.

His father was taken to the nearest chemist for first aid for his profuse bleeding but he succumbed to the injuries.

According to the mother, her two sons were fighting over a bottle of perfume, which the assailant thought his brother had stolen from him.

“The two boys started fighting and my husband went to intervene. I begged him to stop fighting his father but he did not hear me. He threw me against the table and I landed on my back. The last words I heard from my husband was him telling our son, ‘You have lifted a knife on me!’” the mother recounted.

The assailant’s brother, a Standard Six pupil at Ruben Primary School, said his older brother hit him hard.
