Police shot my son in cold blood, says parent

Parents in a school, which was attacked by an unknown gang on Sunday night, are accusing the police of opening fire on students and killing one of them.

The parents of St. Charles Mutego Educational Centre, led by Mr Simeon Ndiani whose son was shot dead, claimed police officers were responsible for the death and injuries inflicted on the students.

“The police told us they had shot him thinking he was one of the attackers,” said a distraught Mr Ndiani.

Mr Ndiani said his 20-year-old son, Isaac Lesiile, reported to the institution—a mixed boarding primary and secondary school with a population of 825 students—last week and was yet to be issued with uniform.
