Three suspected gangsters were on Tuesday killed in two separate incidents in Nairobi.

Police on Tuesday afternoon shot and killed two gangsters who were terrorising members of the public in Buruburu estate, Nairobi.

According to a police report, the two were in the company of four suspects who were armed and robbing citizens along Rabai Road when they received the tip off.

Police who were on patrol approached the suspects and ordered them to surrender but instead they fired at the police who shot and killed two while the other two escaped.

RECOVERED FIREARM

A Walther pistol and homemade gun capable of firing with two rounds of ammunition were recovered.

Their bodies were moved to City Mortuary awaiting identification and postmortem.

Meanwhile in Kayole, members of the public cornered and lynched a gangster who was among a group numbering five.

The incident happened on Tuesday night near Soweto Deliverance Church after the said gang was caught robbing members of the public while armed with a crude weapon.

The suspect’s body was taken to City Mortuary pending autopsy and identification.
