System ya majambazi: Traffic cops accused of grabbing Ksh1m from foreigners backseat

A Chinese foreigner has accused two traffic police officers of stealing Ksh 1 million from him.

According to a police report seen by Nairobi News Liz Zhixin, he was stopped by the two while driving from Westlands towards Junction mall along Othaya Road.

“That he parked his car besides the road whereby they took his driving licence and the car keys,” the police report read in part.

The report further state that one of the offices opened the back seat of the vehicle and took an envelope containing Sh 1 million, leaving behind his work cap (traffic cap).

The officers left in car registration number KCL 762. The Chinese national did not get the last letter of the registration number of the Toyota Fielder, white in color.

According to Zhixin, the two officers drove toward Gitanga road.
