Tanzanians on Twitter react over tourism advert
Tanzanians on Twitter (TOT) have shared varied reactions following a move by authorities to actively market the country on social media.
Branding Tanzania shared several pictures highlighting tourist attraction features the East African country has, including the beautiful beaches in Zanzibar and the Serengeti national park which apart from being home to wildlife is also home to the famous Kilimanjaro mountain.
Most of the messages were accompanied by a photo of the country’s President Samia Suluhu.
Proud to show you a country you never really knew, you’ll see how surprising this country really is. There are countless treasures everywhere you look, & they are all hiding in plain sight…Welcome to the land of #Kilimanjaro, #Zanzibar and The #Serengeti; Welcome to Tanzania ??. pic.twitter.com/8egVEVh5tK

But a section of Tanzanians appeared to have reservations about the selected pictures and especially the photo of the photoshopped Head of State.
My piece of advice! Please use various photos to reflect the reality. Our President cant put on the same clothes everywhere…..
